THE FINAL ONE 2020 – WOZNIACKI VS WILLIAMS POSTPONED
The Final One 2020 – Caroline Wozniacki vs Serena Williams, due to be played on 18th May 2020 in a sold-out Royal Arena is postponed to later this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the law and recommendations of the government and health authorities, it is with great disappointment that The Final One 2020 – Caroline Wozniacki vs Serena Williams at Royal Arena on 18th May is postponed. The event was sold out in one day and the amount of interest we received for this event was phenomenal. The Olympics, European Championships, and other major sporting events have already been cancelled or postponed. We feel that it is only right to show the same community spirit to fight this terrible virus together.
Without a doubt one of the world’s and Denmark’s best tennis player deserves to be honoured, so we are working hard on finding a new date for this event. Caroline Wozniacki deserves the greatest tribute to her fabulous career, which she ended at the Australian Open in January 2020 after 15 years as a professional player. The programme for the event will be unchanged, and the audience will have the opportunity to keep their tickets and go to the rescheduled match once we have a new date. It will be an historic evening.
Caroline Wozniacki and Serena Williams are both sad to postpone the match.
Caroline Wozniacki says:
“It is obviously quite annoying that we cannot play in May as planned but it is the only right thing to do. I look forward to finding a new date soon, and I am very much looking forward to saying thank you for the fantastic support many have shown me and this event.”
The organisers, f Sports Group hope that as many as possible will still want to celebrate one of Denmark’s greatest sports personalities. f Sports Group CEO, Mads H. Frederiksen, comments:
“It is a real pity that we cannot carry out the event as first planned in a sold-out Royal Arena on 18th May and which we were extremely excited about. We have experienced great support and we are working very hard to find a new date and hope to be able to announce it very soon. We look forward to making a great tribute to Caroline Wozniacki in front of 13,000 fans in the Royal Arena.”
A new date will be announced as soon as possible and anyone with a ticket to the match will be able to use it for the rescheduled event. You can read more on ticketmaster.dk about the event or contact Ticketmaster support.
