THE CITY OF SOUND PRESENTS THE LE TOUR REVENGE 2019
Tuesday the 30th of July 2019 the City of Sound (Struer) and f Sports Group present the Le Tour Revenge 2019 where you have the opportunity to meet the riders from this year’s Tour de France – just two days after they have finished the world’s biggest, hardest and most prestigious race.
Jakob Fuglsang has delivered incredible results this year and has already apoointed this as his best season ever. Earlier this yer he won the classic Liège-Bastogne-Liège as well as the prestigious Tour de France warm up race Critérium du Dauphiné.
Never before has Denmark had such a big favourit to win the Tour de France as Jakob Fuglsang is this year and that will be celebrated not only in the streets of France at this year’s Tour de France but also in the streets of Denmark.
The Le Tour Revenge takes place in the City of Sound, Struer, Tuesday the 30th of July 2019 7pm.
The City of Sound presents the Le Tour Revenge where up to 15,000 spectators get the opportunity to get very close to the big Tour stars and the rest of the field, when they see the riders cycle several laps in the streets of Struer. In addition it will be the only time you can experience Jakob Fulgsang racing in Denmark this year -it’s a day he is looking very much forward to:
“Regardless of my result at this year’s Tour de France, 2019 has already been the best year in my career. I have experienced a fantastic support from the Danish fans and therefore I’m very much looking forward to give something back to them, when I cycle my only race in Denmark at the Le Tour Revenge in Struer. It will be a fantastic day, great atmosphere and then together with some of my great friends and competitors – it’s gonna be great fun.” – Jakob Fuglsang
Denmark’s greatest cyckling star, Jakob Fuglsang (Astana), Michael Valgren (Dimension Data), Michael Morkov (Deceuninck-Quick Step), Kasper Asgreen (Deceuninck Quick-Step) and other Danish and international Tour riders will be at the starting line together with a number of Danish amateur riders. In total 50-60 riders are in the race at the party of the year in Struer, the City of Sound. The Council of Struer is giving everyone a unique opportunity to experience the world’s best riders and then it’s free. It’s a people’s party with great music, food and beverages.
Also the Council of Struer is very much looking forward to the event and is proud to get such great riders to cycle in the streets of Jutland. The Mayor of Struer, Niels Viggo Lynghøj says:
“We are looking forward to create a party together with the local community in Struer and to give the spectators a unique opportunity to get close to the great cycling stars, whom they have follwed on TV the weeks prior to this event. We have some of the most varied bike terrains in the country with hills, mountain bike tracks in the forest and not least the wind, which riders in both Denmark Rundt, Danish Championships in mountain biking, and Giro d’Italia have previously experienced. Therefore, it was obvious for us to invite the greatest bike riders to our city and celebrate them with a community party in the streets of Struer on the 30th of July 2019.” – Niels Viggo Lynghøj, Mayor of Struer
