NEW DATE – THE FINAL ONE 2022
Because of the extended coronavirus restrictions, Caroline Wozniacki’s farewell match will be moved to Tuesday 5th April 2022.
f Sports Group, the organisers of The Final One 2022 – Caroline Wozniacki vs Angelique Kerber, have to postpone Caroline Wozniacki’s farewell match due to the coronavirus restrictions. The match should have taken place in Royal Arena on 9th February 2022.
All parties involved have agreed to move the match to Tuesday 5th April 2022, where Royal Arena opens its doors to a spectacular tennis night. Denmark’s biggest tennis star ever, Caroline Wozniacki deserves tribute and applauses for her fabulous career.
Both Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber are looking forward to playing the match in Royal Arena. Wozniacki says:
“Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to plague us ahead of The Final One, but I am pleased that we already have a new date in place. We want everyone to feel safe participating in this event and would rather be at the forefront of the situation. We are following the authorities’ advice and instructions. In the meantime, I will continue to train, and I am very much looking forward to the match against Angie. It will be a magnificent evening, which means a lot to me. I hope to see as many fans as possible and I am looking forward to giving all my Danish fans something back. The support throughout my career and for this match has been fantastic and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone.”
The programme of the evening is unchanged. A pre-match ahead of the main match ‘The Final One’ between Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber will be announced soon.
