B.T. ENTERS INTO A NEW COLLABORATION WITH JAKOB FULGSANG
For the second consecutive year, B.T. has entered into a partnership with Jakob Fuglsang as he becomes their race expert and will for the next weeks and months be covering the upcoming historic cycling season, which begins with Tour de France, followed by the World Cup and then Giro d’Italia.
Fuglsang says:
“Last year I worked with B.T. and I am once again thrilled to give my insight and share my experience with the readers and all the Danish cycling fans.”
Fuglsang is in great shape at the moment, resulting in him winning Lombardia 2020 this weekend as the first Dane ever. This year, during Tour de France he will be the specialist with rare insight into the cycling world and will be able to analyse the stages, share stories and comment on the achievements that his Danish colleagues hopefully will deliver. Additionally he will participate in B.T.’s live blog during some of the stages.
Hopefully, when the World Cup is running late September and the Giro d’Italia caravan rolls in October, Fuglsang will be participating in the races, as he is one of the favorites to win. During these races, he will blog and comment live on B.T. from hotel rooms and on the roads. B.T. readers will get exclusive access to the thoughts and analysis from one of Denmark’s biggest cycling names as he tries to reach one of his career’s great goals.
“We have to see what happens, but two of the big goals for me this season are the World Cup and Giro d’Italia. I will bring the B.T. readers with me all the way, including from within the team bus,”
says 35-year-old Fuglsang.
Fuglsang’s main task is to take the thousands of B.T. users and readers behind the scenes as well as provide a unique insight into what happens away from the action and in the private, something only few people are usually privy to. B.T.’s sports manager, Soren Hanghoj, says:
“This year’s cycling season is unique and also very compact. The Danes usually follow Tour de France from the waterfront or on the terraces, but this year it will be from their phones or computer screens. This will be the same for the World Cup and not least for Giro d’Italia too, where Jakob Fuglsang is one of the favorites for the overall victory. B.T. will provide the best coverage directly to all our users, wherever they are. Jakob Fuglsang will play a central role in that coverage when he tells the stories across several different platforms about the races and the stories from within. I am really looking forward to this collaboration.”
In addition to Jakob Fuglsang, B.T. has launched a new daily podcast in conjunction with Tour de France ‘The Tour From the Back Seat’. The podcast is in Danish and produced on the French roads by B.T.’s three reporters, Frederik Gernigon, Lasse Voge and Rasmus Rask Vendelbjerg.
