JAKOB FUGLSANG
Jakob Fuglsang is a Danish professional road cyclist who is currently driving for the Israel-Premier Tech team. He has won several races both nationally and internationally.
Before pursuing a professional career as a road cyclist, Jakob Fuglsang was mountain biking, where he won the U23 World Cup and U23 World Championship. In 2007 he then decided to focus more on his skills as a road cyclist.
In 2008 he had his major breakthrough as a road cyclist winning Tour of Denmark. He continued his amazing results in 2009 by winning Tour of Denmark, Tour of Slovenia and came in 6th at Dauphiné Libéré – the last race marked him as an international cycling star.
Jakob Fuglsang has since achieved many incredible results in his career, including winning the overall classification at the prestigious Critérium du Dauphiné stage race in 2017. He has also won several one-day races, including the 2019 Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the 2020 Il Lombardia.
Besides that he has had great success in the Grand Tours, with top 10 finishes in the general classification of the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a España. In the 2019 Tour de France, he won Stage 16 and finished 7th overall.
In addition to his individual achievements, Fuglsang has also been an important member of the Danish national cycling team, helping to secure team time trial victories at the World Championships in 2015 and 2016.
His incredible achievements in cycling demonstrate his talent, versatility, and ability to compete at the highest level of the sport. Jakob Fuglsang has worked with several brands such as Oakley, Bang & Olufsen, and the Danish company SengeSpecialisten.
