In May 2022 Kasper Dolberg became Novo Nordisk brand ambassador to create awareness about the chronic disease Type 1 diabetes and how to proceed living a normal life with the diagnosis, even as a professional athlete.

After #EURO2020 the Danish football player Kasper Dolberg started to feel very tired and without energy. He had some testing done and in November 2021 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

After it was publicly known that the striker has diabetes, Dolberg received a lot of attention from the media and inquiries from parents with children diagnosed with diabetes.

He partnered up with Novo Nordisk to create awareness about the chronic disease, which affects especially kids and young adults. The aim of this partnership is to show that it’s possible to live a perfectly normal and active life, despite being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes – never stop reaching for your goals and always dream big.

“Of course, it’s never great to be diagnosed with a chronic disease, which you will live with for the rest of your life. At the same time, it’s important to make it clear, that you can live an active life with diabetes if you make sure to take care of yourself. That’s the message I want provide and help creating awareness about it – especially for all the children, the young people, and their families, who are living with the disease up close”, says Kasper Dolberg.
